EASTER AT POWDER MOUNTAIN VILLAGE 2011

First night there we had two furry visitors.
Tran stayed busy in the kitchen.  Good food!
Our new BYU graduate, Rick, was the reason for the Garrards' celebration.
Lora and my brother, Ron, are just about the nicest people I know!
Diane and Dallon braved the ride up and back the first night and Diane came back the next day with Jared and Candace.
Denis found time to practice a little guitar.
My two prego girls and cousin, Lora.
 Lora's sweet baby, Jayda.
 The scenery was awesome!
The snow was above our heads but the sun shone brightly.
Tran and Ron enjoying a walk with granddaughter, Jayda.
At the lodge, the snow blocked the doors from the swimming pool room!
Easter morning, Raidon came with Andy and was very quick finding goodies from the Easter Bunny!
 Diving into the goodies!
This is a traditional Russian Easter bread called Kulich.  The XB on top stands for Christ's Resurrection.
The guys brought guitars and had a little jam.
It was fun listening to four guitars playing.
Lora put feathers and glitter strands in Candace and Sarah's hair, something she does in California often.
Jared, Candace, and Denis braved the mountain and went sledding.
Our trip will be something to always remember.  Thank you to Ron's family for letting us join you!!!

MARCH AND APRIL/ TRYING TO FLY

Bruce and I had good intentions of flying South the end of March to see my parents and Kathy, my sister.  How did we forget that Spring Break lasts the whole two months of March and April?  Yes, this is us staying the whole night and next day at the SL Airport trying to use our stand-by tickets on Delta.  Do we look sleepy?
Did you know that there are people who work during the night at the airport?  This was our entertainment, along with CNN.

Yes, we were just 15 minutes away from our home, but we had to be there to get seats, if there were any.  But no...So we went on home the next evening.

Back at home, it's always fun when Raidon comes. He want to be in the middle of everything going on.

He tuned three on April 6th, so we celebrated with a car-cake and cousin, Sophie.

Pretty good cake!

Later that night, Lee and his crew flew in (they had regular tickets) and stayed almost a week.

Joshua is already 8 months old!  He warmed up to Grandma after awhile.

They brought along extra controllers for the Wii game which kept the kids occupied.

We got a little bit of sunshine and Sophie and Emily took full advantage, playing with chalk and pretending to be princesses.

Zachary was excited to learn a few chords on the guitar from Denis.

Just give Whitney a computer and she'll be happy all day!

Joshua and Raidon were the bread monsters.

Later in April, Bruce and I tried a smarter way to fly by driving to Boise and taking Horizon standy.  We got right on.  We flew to Washington to attend Deana and Brandon Wright's family temple sealing.

The temple in Bellview is beautiful and the ceremony was even more beautiful.

Congratulations to Deana, Brandon (oops, no picture of him), Savannah,Peyton, and Jackson.

Peyton (and all the family) looked beautiful all in white.

Beautiful Deana was glowing with her happy momma, my sister, Linda.  Bruce and I had a nice time staying with Linda and Rashadd.

Savannah, so grown up, and her Aunt Shila Conway.

We were so happy to meet Teri, Jesse's new girlfriend!  She's lots of fun!

Of course, the occasion called for a wedding cake and beautiful cupcakes!

Friends and family had a nice open house with tons of food and sent Brandon and Deana off on a second honeymoon to a mountain cabin.

All their kids stayed with the Dolans for a couple of days.

What a sweet family!

Jax and his Pappa Rashadd.

Beth and her cute Leah.  She's a very patient and fun mom and aunt!  Love all you guys!
I had to add on one more picture.  These lovely ladies, my neighbors, Teri and Verla, gave me a birthday party last night at our Family Home Evening.  They are the greatest!
