FUN WITH RAIDON

We get to visit with Andy, Randie, and Raidon on Saturdays. That baby is just growing so fast and smart! He can play "patty cake",
loves to open and shut drawers,

and climb up the stairs.

We love this cute family! We think about our other cute grandchildren and miss seeing them as much. Happy birthday to Zachary and Whitney!!!! Wyatt has some very cute pictures on Spencer's blog.

New Choir Video "Praise To The Man"

The Choir's latest CD that came out on Joseph Smith's birthday in December has sold over 20,000 copies already. Click on this site to see a video of when we recorded one of the songs on it: www.byub.org/choir. It shows me at a distance in two short shots. Then you could click on the other 2 songs in there if you want. "Called To Serve" makes me think of Sarah, of course.

Sister Howard Gets Her Packages

The mission home had Sarah's Christmas packages on time but couldn't get them to her until after the New Year, which in Ukraine is the time they celebrate Christmas anyway. On Christmas Day, some of our family got to talk with Sarah on the phone on a conference call generated from Lee's phone in Washington. It was great to hear her voice! We love you, Sarah! Mom

Howard Holidays

Here's how we spent our holidays this year. Bruce and Jeri had a Sunday-before-Christmas get together with the Utah kids. We had dinner and exchanged gifts and sang Happy Birthday to Randie, who had a birthday on the 28th.
Raidon would rather play with the tins and crawl under the stools. Candace, Jared, Diane, Randie, Andy, and Raidon hung out after the fun.
Then on December 23rd, Bruce and Jeri flew up to Washington between snow storms. Here is what we saw in Shelton on New Year's Day. That's Lee's car under the snow.

Lee and Karyn's remodel on their house is looking great. They heat this whole house with a wood-burning stove!
Emily, Zachary, and Whitney enjoyed having Grandpa and Grandma there for about a week. Whitney is a big help and set a beautiful table for our Christmas Eve dinner.
We attended their Spanish-speaking branch for two Sundays. I enjoyed using the earphones to listen to the meetings being translated by our Lee, as he does each week. He also teaches early-morning Seminary. Karyn serves in the Relief Society and the Young Women.
When I called my sister Linda, she invited us over for Sunday dinner and to see most of her kids and grandkids who came to her house in Tacoma. We had a nice visit and good food.
Then it was time to go stay at Spencer and Jane's house for several days in Vancouver. They also stay warm with a wood-burning stove. We got to know our newest grandson, Wyatt, better who is now 5 mos. old and a very happy baby.
He is entertained by sitting in front of his mirror with toys all around him. We took walks and rides, went for dinner, and did a little babysitting while Spencer and Jane celebrated New Year's Eve.
Lee let us borrow their car, so we returned it and stayed another 2 nights. They took us on a ferry ride to Seattle where we went to the Aquarium and saw amazing fish and other animals and ate a delicious seafood dinner on the wharf.

We had an amazing trip and want to thank Lee and Karyn and Spencer and Jane for making it possible. Also thanks to Jared and Candace, Andy and Randie, and Diane for their help in driving us, taking care of Clark and Gucci, and the fun Christmas. Hope you all have a very wonderful 2009! P.S. I have now taken off the date on my camera. It whacked out after the new year. Jeri
